A Conference for School Secretaries and Administrative Assistants
The 2017 Administrative Assistants’ Conference will take place on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. The cost is $95.00 per person.
This one-day program is designed to support and celebrate the important role that school secretaries and administrative assistants play in maintaining a positive school climate and a dynamic teaching and learning environment. The program includes up-to-the-minute information and practical suggestions to help secretaries perform their duties with even greater success.
Attorneys Zittoun and Ritter will cover new laws and pressing legal issues that every administrative assistant should know. Jeff Olefson, president of Staff Development Associates, will explore strategies for effectively handling “prickly” personalities in his presentation entitled “Dealing with Difficult Individuals And Surviving to Tell the Tale.”
Additionally, the CAS Administrative Assistant of the Year Award will be presented at the conference. This annual award recognizes a high-performing office assistant who demonstrates excellent leadership, ongoing commitment to staff and students, and meaningful contributions to the overall school experience. Please consider making a nomination.
Every participant will receive a packet of conference materials, enjoy a gourmet breakfast and lunch, and have many chances to win raffle prizes!
