Registration Open for 2018 State Robotics Championship!!!

2017 Robotics State Championship

FIRST Robotics Competition is the ultimate Sport for the Mind, where imagination and innovation come together. By combining the excitement of sport and beauty of art with the rigors of science and technology, teams are challenged to design a team “brand,” hone teamwork skills, and build and program robots to perform tasks against a field of competitors!

Registration is now open for the Sixth Annual High School Robotics Team Championship which will take place at Fitch High School in Groton on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Schools that are currently partnering with Connecticut FIRST are eligible to register for the coveted title of State Robotics Team Champions!

This annual event, co-sponsored by the Connecticut Student Activities Conference (CSAC) and New England FIRST, is an opportunity for FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams from the state’s high schools to showcase the skills they’ve used to design and build their robots to compete in qualifying FRC events. Check out the results of last year’s championship!

NE FIRST provides innovative programs for students to improve not only their science and technology skills, but also gain self-confidence, and leadership and life skills. FIRST’s goal is to inspire in students an appreciation of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and to show them how an understanding of these fields can enrich their lives.
