A Conference for School Secretaries and Administrative Assistants

Registration is now open for the annual conference for secretaries and administrative assistants. Held in conjunction with National Administrative Professionals Week, this conference is an ideal opportunity to acknowledge the great work that administrative assistants do in our schools. The ever-popular Tom Mooney, renowned school law attorney from Shipman & Goodwin LLP, will discuss a number of critical legal topics directly related to their daily work including school safety, electronic communication devices, and student records retention.

The 2018 Administrative Assistants’ Conference will take place on Friday, April 27, 2018, from 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. The cost is $95.00 per person.

This one-day program is designed to support and celebrate the important role that school secretaries and administrative assistants play in maintaining a positive school climate and a dynamic teaching and learning environment. The program includes up-to-the-minute information and practical suggestions to help secretaries perform their duties with even greater success.

Additionally, the CAS Administrative Assistant of the Year Award will be presented at the conference. This annual award recognizes a high-performing office assistant who demonstrates excellent leadership, ongoing commitment to staff and students, and meaningful contributions to the overall school experience. Please consider making a nomination.

Every participant will receive a packet of conference materials, enjoy a gourmet breakfast and lunch, and have many chances to win raffle prizes!
