Bethany Teacher Named Middle Level Exemplary Educator

The Connecticut Association of Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Robert Fragione of Amity Regional Middle School in Bethany has been selected at the recipient of the CAS 2018-2019 Middle Level Educator of the Year Award.

Chosen from among several outstanding educators, Rob’s strong connections with his students, positive energy, passion for his profession, and willingness to share his expertise with others have earned him this award.

Rob shared that when his colleagues ask him how he “survives” middle school, he responds, “Honestly, I cannot picture myself anywhere else. Where can you work and influence the young minds that will be our future leaders? Their zany and unpredictable ways keep me laughing and remind me that we are all young at heart and learning as we age.”

Rob’s love for teaching impacts both his students and colleagues. He is a credit to his profession, to Amity Regional Middle School, and to Amity Regional School District. Rob will be recognized for this achievement at a future board of education meeting this fall.

Congratulations to Rob!
