Join “Acts of Kindness” Campaign in Honor of Newtown Victims

Notre Dame High School in Fairfield is looking to recruit other CT schools to join in its Acts of Kindness campaign in honor of the victims of last year’s tragedy in Newtown. Last January, the Notre Dame school community developed a 26-day Acts of Kindness campaign which was spun off of Ann Curry’s random acts of kindness movement on Twitter. Some days were simple, like “Put a Smile on Someone’s Face Day.” Other days involved collecting toiletries for a local shelter; and others involved letter-writing campaigns (to a former teacher, for example). The school plans to begin this year’s 26-day campaign on December 13th and is encouraging other schools to join in the initiative this winter. See last year’s campaign schedule below.
