As of the census of 2020, there are 16,196 people, 6,651 households, and 4,405 families residing in the town. The median income for a household in the town is $89,000, and the median income for a family is $58,917. Tiverton Public Schools is led by a five member School Committee, and currently serves approximately 1,600 students, Pre-K through Grade 12. For the 2025-2026 school year, the district will have 2 elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Prepares and maintains daily log relative to transportation problems and submit a monthly summary of transportation efficiency. Recommends route additions and changes (e.g. finds new development and map information, etc.) for the purpose of keeping routes and data up-to-date. Maintains student enrollment for both public and parochial schools and disseminates all related reports. When requested, meet with principals and parents to discuss and solve transportation problems. Communicates with drivers, Bus Company personnel, special education department, school staff, parents, and others (e.g. reviewing route maps, responding to inquiries, etc.) for the purpose of assisting with route-related problems. Responds to inquiries from students, parents, and staff (e.g. stop locations, schedule, state-regulated policies, etc.) for the purpose of providing the necessary information regarding busing issues.
