Barbara Dalio Honored for Contributions to Education

Congratulations to Barbara Dalio, co-founder and director of the Dalio Foundation and recipient of the 2018 CAS Distinguished Friend of Education Award.

The Distinguished Friend of Education Award, established in 1983, is the highest award given by the association to persons not directly involved in public education.

Nominated by Dr. Albert Sackey, principal of Nathan Hale Middle School in Norwalk, Barbara has been a powerful force for change, improving public education in Connecticut through resources and supports for educators and students. Through her work with the Dalio Foundation, Barbara has had a positive and sustained impact on countless children and families in underserved communities.
