The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has announced a new “National High School Heart of the Arts Award”!

This award seeks to recognize individuals who exemplify the “heart of the arts” ideals that represent the core mission of education‐based activities. The recipient could be any student, adult or group associated with a high school’s performing arts program (to include a plethora of arts disciplines: music, speech, debate, theatre and any other performing arts activities that a school might sponsor).

Do you know an individual who has demonstrated exemplary “heart,” sportsmanship and/or citizenship; has exceeded normal expectations in assisting others within the school or community; or has overcome adversity or a challenging circumstance? Please consider submitting a nomination!
