Despite the pandemic, Mystic Seaport Museum is doing its best to provide students with interactive learning experiences that transport students out of the classroom, albeit virtually. Utilizing a combination of behind-the-scenes pre-recorded footage and videos, up-close and personal artifact analysis, and live footage from the vessels and exhibits on the Museum grounds, its virtual programs bring the Museum alive and keep students engaged. On March 29, 2021, CAS hosted a webinar during which education staff from the Museum showcased these virtual field trips and gave participants a glimpse of what students see and experience.
