The Connecticut Debate Association hosted 80 high school students from 13 schools at AITE in Stamford on Saturday, October 3, for the 17th Annual Novice Scrimmage. Freshmen and sophomores new to the CDA witnessed a demo round between experienced varsity debaters, attended various workshops hosted by coaches and experienced debaters, and participated in practice rounds. The topic for the day addressed whether there should be age limits for elected officials.

CDA’s first official competition of the season will be held on Saturday, October 17 at Joel Barlow High School in Redding and Robert E. Fitch High School in Groton.
