Capital Prep Senior Promotes Self-Advocacy to Eighth Graders

As part of the graduation requirements at Capital Preparatory Magnet School in Hartford, students are challenged to do a Senior Social Justice Project (SSJP). Senior Savannah Pollard chose to address how a lack of self-advocacy affects middle school students’ academic performance. She then teaches students several different self-advocacy skills.
